Joint Replacement Center at Baptist Hospital

The Joint Replacement Center at Baptist Hospital is simply the best. Our care has been consistently ranked and nationally recognized by some of the country's premier healthcare authorities.

Baptist Hospital has a strong tradition in repairing and replacing hips, knees and shoulders for patients living with joint pain that limits their ability to enjoy an active life. Each year, we perform more than 1,500 joint replacements –and facilities that do more procedures have been shown to have higher quality care and better outcomes for their patients.

We were the first hospital in the region to perform a total hip replacement in 1969 and many of Baptist Hospital’s orthopedic surgeons and caregivers – past and present – have been instrumental in developing new implants and instruments, protocols and physical therapy techniques for joint replacement.

Our Joint Replacement Center includes a team of surgeons, orthopedic certified nurses, patient care technicians, case managers and physical therapists. We embrace a team approach in the care of our patients – from pre-operative education to surgery to physical therapy. Because of this approach, patients have a better understanding of their condition, restoration of mobility and improved quality of life.

Patients are cared for in a designated unit of the hospital with 28 private rooms. The Joint Replacement Center includes an in-house gym and classroom for patient recovery and education, Internet Café and its own comfortable family waiting room. There’s also free valet parking.
